There’s a great Tea Rooms on the steep road out of Swyre heading towards Burton Bradstock and Bridport that many people drive past but only the clever few turn into and enjoy. The Egg Cup Tearooms is hidden away at the back of the farm, you have to go past all the old farm buildings to find it but once you do you discover a moderns, incredibly clean tearooms run by a very friendly family who make it their mission to ensure that your experience on their premises is an excellent one.

There is a large airy inside area and spacious lawn where you can eat with views across the valey to the north.

The menu is simple but adequate and as the farm has it’s own hens laying eggs then I can personally recommend the Poached Eggs on Toast, I tend to go there in the morning so that’s the speciality for me. Couple that with an excellent coffee and i’m a happy camper.

So next time you’re in the area driving the coast road through Swyre take half an hour to visit the ladies at the Egg Cup Tearooms, for a simple cafe they managean 80% score from me.
